We are completely and unashamedly obsessed with the scandalous grace of God – God the Father of the prodigal, God the finder of lost things, Jesus Christ the forgiver, seer, and door to heaven.
Jim McNeely is just a normal guy working a normal job as a computer programmer in a cube in a basement for a group of radiologists in Bellingham Wa., while trying to keep up with growing boys and church stuff and bills come due. He is an associate teaching pastor and elder at Dakota Creek Christian Center. Sometimes he writes for this blog and speaks about grace wherever there is an opportunity. He also plays the piano for Betty, having earned a degree in music from the University of North Texas. He used to write lots of music but there isn’t much time for that kind of thing any more. He is a sinner in need of the grace he often talks about. He doesn’t pastor a church, isn’t a minister, and has blown his witness countless times over the years. There is no way in your right mind you want him speaking at your church. Luckily the people at the church Jim and Betty attend have some kind of screw loose!
Betty is the best singer on earth, it is a mystery why she isn’t famous yet. She is an elder and women’s ministry leader at Dakota Creek Christian Center. She is also the funniest and smartest person Jim knows. She is a great friend and mentor to any number of women, and is just generally beautiful and pleasant. Mainly she is a great and patient and loving wife to Jim.
Jim and Betty McNeely live in Everson Washington with 3 of their sons, their first and oldest son lives in Denton TX.
